In Indonesia, Nissan President is only sold for 1992 model year, and nearly all of them has all options ticked. So it has satnav, radar-guided cruise control, active suspension, power steering, 4 airbags, and some weird thing called VH45DE 4.5l V8 under the bonnet. How good was it?
All i know about it, it has 310hp, 330 lb-ft of torque, a plastic timing belt, and that's about it. Here's a Royal President for your problems.

According to Wikipedia, the blocks and some other parts were used in IRL engines. Neat.

Also, it looks like it's the timing belt guides that are plastic, not the chain itself.

That's a lot of car ... for a plastic timing belt.

The VH45DE has a double roller timing chain not a belt. The timing chain guides were plastic and could wear prematurely on earlier models. All in all it’s an incredibly stout motor.

“It’s a Nissan afterall...” You know Nissan pretty much stopped using timing belts in the early 90's and nearly all their engines since have been chain driven? The QR (4cyl), VQ (6cyl) and VK (8cyl) and even the VH in the President are all chain motors.
